Most nights, River Jones goes home to a present... But not the kind you're thinking of.
In class, she remains on top of her grades whilst also juggling her horrible home life and part-time job. She wants to get out of her hometown Westwood Coast and she doesn't want anybody getting close to her. Even her only friend Kimberley.
River always travels to the lake, wasting her Saturdays by reading a book or just watching the ducks swim by. Sam Evans sees how she acts in school, intrigued by her and one day, he shows up at the lake, noticing something.

"What's that?" He asks, inching closer to take a better look.
"I burnt it on straighteners." She replies bluntly, backing away.
"You're a bad liar, that's no burn. Tell me the truth." He demands, keeping the soft look on his face and she sighs reluctantly answering.

We reached the hospital and Ryder, still being gentle, jumped out of the car. Zach opened the doors for him and they rushed inside the emergency room. "We need a little help." Max asked the nurse at the table. SHe seemed a little bit annoyed. "Sir this is the trauma center. If you have an emergency that can wait...Oh my gosh." She spoke once she looked at me. "Dr!" She looked at a blonde woman walking by. "Yes?" The woman walked over with a smile on her face. The nurse pointed at me. "Over here." She lead the guys to a hospital bed that they laid me down. "If it means anything, she has panic attacks." Ryder explained. "Page Shepard." She told someone. "What's her name?" "Lucy." Ryder told them. Then, light people around me became blurs, than darkness. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maybe you had some high school bullies, but I hope they weren't like Lucy Smith's bullies. Lucy Smith is entering into her first year of high school, going to school with her best friend and four out of her five older, protective brothers. Being part of the Smith family gives her some different effects on the the guys around her and some people don't take too kindly to that. Although once in high school and having more friends, his life still wasn't the best as he did still struggle with his dad and those 3 boys tormenting him, as well as struggling with a few disorders - This is a book about my ocs, my two main ones being Ashton and Kai, and some other 4 main ocs, siding with others in the book. This is a romance book, mainly focusing on Ashton and Kai, but also focusing on the others in the book a bit too. This book is filled with lots of ups and downs, including sad moments, happy moments, and plenty of other moments the characters will face. Tws (technically some spoilers?) -lots of swearing -bullying -fights -abuse -violence -underaged drinking -self harm -abduction -heavy SA implications
