Austin is a very talented medical doctor at St. Luke's Boise Medical Center in Idaho. Many people are skeptic of him but others admire him. Austin has a way of healing people not even science can explain. When questioned about how he can heal people like he does, Austin reveals the deadly truth. The truth can only be safe on one condition: he must protect society from any vampires meaning he'd have to kill his own kind letting human lives come first. If the truth is revealed then it could be the death of him. One day a female human is rushed to the hospital in need of Austin's care. Her injury contained wounds that were unknown to the people but obvious to Austin. She had been bitten by a vampire and nothing could change her fate.
