Josephine Grey is, most simply put, a loner. She found it hard to make friends and kept to herself. She wasn't popular, despite being friends with, possibly, the most popular boy in the school, Noah Puckerman.

She was known by some to be kind, but known to be angry by some others. Jo dreaded going into sophomore year after the incidents that happened in her freshman year not knowing what drama was going to happen.
