"You will help me," Jack's voice had turned velvety smooth, like melted chocolate. His rasping was no more. I shook my head. "No!" I screamed, moving side to side in an attempt to escape. My hands felt like they had no blood in them, no life. I felt vulnerable, weak, defenceless. I felt small against this monster of a human. He got out the tool. He got out the Soulkill.

My eyes fluttered open, heart pounding as I looked around. The bus was empty. A chill crawled down my spine. Something wasn't right. And then I saw him. He stepped onto the bus, his dark eyes locking onto mine immediately. A slow, knowing smirk played on his lips. "Enjoy your little escape, wildcat?" His voice was calm, mocking, as he moved closer. My heart raced, and I pressed myself against the seat. "Stay away from me," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. His smirk deepened, his steps deliberate. "Stay away?
