"You will help me," Jack's voice had turned velvety smooth, like melted chocolate. His rasping was no more. I shook my head. 
"No!" I screamed, moving side to side in an attempt to escape. My hands felt like they had no blood in them, no life. I felt vulnerable, weak, defenceless. I felt small against this monster of a human.  

He got out the tool.

It's as if he knows exactly what I need without me having to say a word. He pressed kisses against my hair, his voice an anchor that kept me from drowning as he murmured, "It's okay, love." Another kiss, and his arms clamped tightly around me. "You have me."

Hoping to shake this human off once and for all, I twisted my body around rapidly with a plan to put my words into action. When I was on my way to push this man as deep into the floor as possible my body all of the sudden went rigid. When my body froze solid, so did my brain. „Come on.", the Doctor said pulling me by the hand, leaving our hiding place and heading straight towards the cages. Since we only saw the backsides of them we didn't know what to expect.The Doctor walked around the cages and pulled me with him until we were standing exactly between the cages. A gasp. The Doctor didn't say a word, there was horror written allover his face. I clapped my hand over my mouth. Pure terror was in my eyes as I looked around. The Doctors' grip on my wrist had become so hard I almost feared he could break it. The source of the noises, and what was in those cages, were humans.
