Takes place after TLJ (Cause TROS destroyed us all in more ways than one and someone has to write a better damn story before we all go insane with out 'Who' 'What' And 'Why' questions).
The connection between Rey and Kylo Ren should've been severed when Snoke was killed... And yet it wasn't. What'll happen now Kylo is the new Supreme Leader of The First Order and Rey is the last jedi remaining?
The two should be fighting against each other more so than ever before, yet the bond between them is only growing, in more ways than one.
The Resistance are rebuilding, planning their attack that could just destroy the First Order once and for all. Rey should be happy, she should be helping to speed things along... so why is her heart aching more with every passing second?
The First Order are hunting down the Resistance without mercy, Kylo Ren has everything he's ever fought to gain, and yet he feels as if he has nothing at all.
What happens when the one thing you want more than anything else, is the one thing that you can never have? Would you give up everything you value, let the world burn, to regain the missing piece of your soul?

Over the past year, Ben has changed considerably, becoming disillusioned by the First Order and implementing a plan to end the war with the Resistance as its victors. Now, ready to execute the last step of his plan, he has to confront Rey once again. Unfortunately, she has her own opinions about his lofty plan. In this story, it turns out Snoke wasn't lying and he really did create the connections between Kylo Ren and Rey in "The Last Jedi." (Note: This also means there was no Force connection between them on Crait since Snoke was dead by then.) So, there is no Force bond and there's no special link between the two of them. But...that doesn't mean they weren't profoundly affected by the experience. Excerpt: He knew the moment she noticed him, felt it like a stab to his core through the Force. He saw the fierce determination in her eyes and he tried to match it, but was certain he failed. All he could feel was sorrow. The tempo of his steps increased as he covered the ground toward her. He watched as she turned her body toward him, bringing her magnificent dual-bladed, bright white lightsaber to bear, her lips pulling back in a vicious sneer as she sought what she had yet to realize he was here to offer her willingly.
