He gave me a sweet, long kiss. Then he took my hand and led me outside. He lied down and gestured for me to lie with him. I did so, putting my head on his chest.

"Do you see the moon?"

I looked up and saw a bright full moon.

"Yes."

"As long as the moon shines brightly, I will love you."

"What about new moons?"

He sighed and chuckled.

"Alright smarty. Can you count all the stars in the sky?"

"No! There's too many! And I don't have enough patience. I'll never have the patience for that!" I whined.

"Well, as long as you don't have the patience to count the stars, I will love you unconditionally," he said as kissed the top of my head.
