He stood on the rooftop of the UA dorms, it was probably 1 AM at this point, so no one would see him, he walked to the edge, and right before he stepped off

Before he took the jump though he saw a very colorful shooting star going threw the night sky and decided to make a wish before jumping. When he woke up he found out he have a quirk that he shouldn't have and a desire to make himself a happy life even if its building it from nothing.
