"What do you mean you know me?" Lilith asked through the troubled tears that brimmed at her eyes.
Ian crossed the room and took hold of either side of her face, his hands cradling her cheeks. The sudden electricity entered her body, never ending where their limbs met. She tried her best to fight it, attempting to yank her face away. Instead he held her steady.
"Look at me." he whispered urgently. " really look at me. You know me." there was a desperation in his voice, and urgency.
"Ian.." Lilith's voice broke and she found herself shaking.
She could feel it brewing all at the surface. It was beating on the floodgates of her subconscious, but she wanted nothing more than to hold it back.
"Lilith.." he breathed.
Her sudden name on his lips caused her to let out a breath. A dozen images flooded to the surface and she found herself struggling to breathe. In one moment, she had been awakened.
