If this is the era of technologies that are going to change our world, then the technology that can be considered the jewel in the crown is Artificial Intelligence (AI). Indeed, AI is changing our lives like nothing before it. A subset of AI, namely Machine Learning, signals a paradigm shift in computing: traditionally, computers were expected to carry out the tasks we programmed them to. 
Now, through Machine Learning, machines could learn automatically, on their own, and be able to improvise on their functions, without being actually programmed to do so. This technology enables systems to 'learn', to carry out tasks all by themselves. They do this through a combination of data, examples and experience. Machine Learning primarily uses Python, Java and R, and also C++ and C to an extent. 
A look at some of the uses of Machine Learning will help us understand the value of this technology:
