I Can't Breathe and other poems

Poetry and prose reflecting the reality of life - from the murder of George Floyd to the brutal killing of Ejaz Choudry in Canada, the power imbalances in life create horrific nightmares for individuals, families and communities.

My poems and prose reflect the raw emotions in these scenarios but also give a sense of hope in ultimate justice. They seek to shed light on some of the fundamental values we hold as human beings. As a Muslim I believe these values are universal - shared by everyone.

I will try to add poems and short prose on a monthly basis or as the need arises.
