As punishment a serum was invented so that way his punishment would be an endless sleep but his mind would be awake being tormented by his own mind and going insane. The Vantar family keeps him in a glass case in the house to show their enemies what happens to them if they try to fight. But Karina can't help but be mesmerized by the boy and possibly waking him up and getting kidnapped.
