When I woke it was to people in lab coats with an inexhaustible supply of needles and a disturbing fascination for me - I wished I hadn't woken. If only I had stayed in my forever drifting coma. If only I knew who awaited me, who would test my physical and psychologically boundaries: Him.
At first he was cold and remote - unreachable. But something about my abductor attracted me to him, and him to me. Though I couldn't understand our incongruous bond, and even though I had become his science experiment, each day he would come back to my prison, like a man to water, thirsty for my presence.
When Zoona had woken in an unfamiliar place, it was not one that welcomed her and quickly she learned she had been caught in a terrifying situation of being a science experiment.
As she strives to survive for her life she forms a conflicting attraction towards her kidnapper, a desirable man. Soon she has the feeling that their connection isn't coincidence, but something far more impactive and dangerous.
