A two-seater, propeller-powered monoplane with antlers, both of them experience the thrill of flight. A week later, his town burned to ashes. All because of a mysterious journal.

Months after moving to the fortified capital of Granazia, Shaun thought that he and his family are safe, but he realizes that there's no safety and assurance inside the city walls. Trapped in the walled city of corruption, Shaun and his friends old and new need to find an escape, and help comes in a form of a mysterious thirteen year old boy who happens to know a lot more than his own good. Together they unravel the secrets hidden inside the walls, but despite their efforts, it was all in vain.

And when the truth is out, Shaun makes his choice, and he may never see his family again, but he's not alone. He and his friends join a resistance group whose aim was to take back the capital, but during a potentially dangerous mission, Shaun and his friends are shocked to find something they didn't expect to find. I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Pyre lives on whether you experience it or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A science-fiction novel, updated whenever there is new material to post. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own. For the sake of Wattpad I have divided up the chapters into parts, so everything under "The Glow" is Chapter 1 and so on. If you have read this far into the description, I thank you; you've made it further than mostly everyone before you. I hope you stick around. ⠀⠀

| 𝟳𝘅 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗗 ·|| HUNGER GAMES x CINDER || ONC 2023 Honorable Mention Amidst the escalating unrest between the windborne utopian city of Lighthaven and its seedy, oppressed underbelly Fumedge, the Grand Duke of Lighthaven, Lucius Sextus, comes up with an ingenious solution. To provide much-wanted respite from the brewing conflict, and achieve the apparent-if-temporary unity, he organizes Gaslight Trials - a highly entertaining panem-et-circenses combat event in the Pits. The combatants may use all steam and thaumaturgy powered augmentations at their disposal, and there is only one rule: defeat, or be defeated. The reward for the last one standing? A chance to start their life anew. A brass key to the city of Lighthaven with a luxurious mansion to call their own within, as well as an aeroship to command. When eighteen-year-old Veda Igglesden steps forward to take her timeworn adoptive father's place in the fight, she might as well be signing her death-sentence. With her eyes fully set on the prize, act-first-think-later Veda must harness the power of technology to try and win for her Papa Otto. Decades of breathing in the toxic air of Fumedge did a number on the old inventor's lungs, and being able to live in the air-filtered Lighthaven would sure come in handy right about now. A high-flying adventure full of gadgetry and intrigue; a pleasing blend of steampunk and postapocalyptic. See Veda unravel the mysterious ploy behind the game's organization, and uncover the truth about her secret origins. Can she cope both with the trials of physical and intellectual prowess, as well as with the trials of life itself: those of love, loss and regret? © 2023 EvelynHail Exclusively on Wattpad Based on prompt 49! It has been nearly eighteen years since Kota saved Eirenae. Eighteen years since Eirenae found her voice, broke free from her captivity, and aided in the defeat of her perpetrator and the scattering of his little band of hunters. Now, their daughter, Emerald, is coming of age to write her own story, find her mate, and lead her pack going forward. Except Emerald doesn't want her written fate. She wants to be alpha and lead her pack as grandly as her father has, and she doesn't want a mate. Unfortunately for her plans, the Moon Goddess has paired her up, not only with a mate, but another alpha. Resisting is torture, as her soul calls out for his, and he doesn't understand her hesitation. As she keeps her distance, she physically weakens, deteriorating faster than werewolfly possible. In her depleted state, she's snatched from school and taken to her infamous grandmother's house-the palace-by two of the Royal guard. There, she learns more about herself, her species, her pack, and her heritage. But the other packs are desperate to get Eirenae onto the throne that is technically rightfully hers. The frustration-along with the kidnapping of the royal granddaughter-may just start a new kind of turmoil no one has really prepared for. Which War will be fatal, ending in disaster? Emerald's mental battle against her own feelings for her mate? This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. I wrote this because I was partly inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. Admittedly, my head was kind of in two places when writing this. Part of me wanted to create this really thoughtful, slow-burning, thriller sci-fi story experience with lots of lore and things to mull over, and the other half wanted to make a human x anthro romance story, dripping with provocative scenes, dialogue and drama. I'd say the story has both, but more of the former, which I think is ultimately better than if it was the other way around. I don't claim to be the best, or even good, at storytelling, and there are definitely a couple issues I have in my story, but people have been telling me they really like this story. As of 3/3/2025, this story does not violate any of Wattpad's Terms Of Service/Content Guidelines; All characters depicted in sex scenes are consenting adults. This story does NOT promote self harm or violence and does NOT include illegal sex acts of any kind. Any included descriptions of the former (self harm or abuse) are for narrative purposes only and are not portrayed in a positive or promotional way. If you read the whole description, props to you. Anyways, I hope you like my story and will give it a chance.

Lord Anthony Silverson: A Story of Oasis

11 parts Complete Mature

Before the first airship rose into the air, before the city of Oasis became the majestic and wealthy capital of Arctica, before Oasis even existed as a rough-hewn mining town in the remote northern reaches of an already wild frontier colony, Oasis existed in the mind of its founder as an impossible dream: A town where anyone may live in peace, free from discrimination. In the year 1837, in the aftermath of a Civil War that was far longer and far more devastating than the one known in the America of our world, this dream seemed all but impossible. Perhaps it was impossible, but this would not deter Lord Anthony. He was now proven to be a bastard son, and while his family still loved him, he was ineligible to marry into it and continue the Silverson legacy. Thus does he endeavor to found a new legacy, one so monumental that it would be worthy of a new family name. For this purpose, he travels into the wild northern frontier of Arctica where coal, gold, and diamonds may be found. This natural wealth, however, is trivial compared to what he hopes to find there. Who he hopes to find there. Something he has been missing for his entire life...
