It is the year 1919. A young woman arrives in Birmingham. She is out of money and seeking for residency. Tragic circumstances forced her to leave her home so she's looking for her cousin, who lives in Birmingham. Soon she learns, that in this city, things run different than she expected. "I saw hope in their eyes. I admired people, who still had hope in this time. I often found myself struggling to believe in something. Sometimes it just seemed like the candle that lit my world was blown out by the bombs of the war. And the dust that had settled on the cities made it hard for me to enlighten it again. "
