Jordan and his sister Kathy are earthlings trapped in a parallel universe. Their only guide is Kolin, a trained assassin wearing a suit of incredible armor. Kolin wants to get the twins to Kilvarough City. But before they get there, they have to survive the Stygian Waste--an area covering roughly half the United States. Destroyed by an apocalypse 70-years-earlier, the waste is populated by criminals and monsters. Before its over, Jordan will need to rely upon a mysterious power called the "slipstream" to save all of their lives.
