Long ago yokais lived in the human world for decades. But eventually created their own world and entrusted humans to guard the gateway leading between the two worlds. That way the yokais and humans could live peacefully. But of course, the relations between the two kinds wouldn't always remain peaceful.

With that out of the way, this will be a "yandere" type story, and will have normal Godzilla movie themes in it such as death, spoilers for the movies, and themes I've added in. There will be "talking" kaiju, however they don't physically speak to humans, rather its an insight into their thoughts/feelings.

This world's humanity has built various entertainments around the world as war was still a possibility but thanks to peaceful negotiations things have been rather peaceful. In the realm of the gods, one such god wanted to give hope to the humanity that was nearly wiped out by the Raptures, a chance to have hope. Despite being a god, they also loved to play video games finding them to be quite entertaining which gave them an idea. As such, the god decided to find one such person and have them be reincarnated into the world while giving them a special power to help humanity fight against the Raptures. With such a power given to the chosen individual, they send him to this world to help humanity fight and reclaim the surface. As this new Commander is also.....a Gaming Commander.

Little does he realize that the house is no ordinary house, and the tenants are no ordinary tenants. For the house is in fact a Gateway; a connection to a spiritual realm called Seirei-Kai, and the "landlord" of the house serves as the Gatekeeper to protect the Gateway. The tenants of the house are a race of people from Seirei-Kai called the Seishin. They are human in appearance but the Mana inside their bodies is one thousand times stronger than that in a human body. They are powerful and have longevity...but they are also a dying race. For all Seishin that have been born in the last eight hundred years have been male. With no women to grow their population, the Seishin have needed to take drastic and creative measures to have more children and to save their race. Measures that are not entirely working, as they continue to only have male offspring. Shuei doesn't want to be the Gatekeeper. He doesn't want to care about these people with whom his grandfather cared more for than his own family. Despite this he still finds himself drawn into the world and culture of the Seishin of Seirei-Kai...and all the drama that comes with it.
