We wandered into the waiting room and saw our families. Our parents were sobbing, and even Betsy was shedding a few tears. The person who was doing the most crying was Penny. She looked as if she were throwing a tantrum - and she sort of was - and was complaining that it was not fair.

What was unfair?

"It is not fair!" Penny complained. "How come the evil men get to live and my big sister has to die?!"

What? Paige and I were not dead. We were very much alive.

"Penny!" Paige called to her. "It is alright. I am right here." She ran towards her with open arms to embrace her in a hug...but she went through her. She made another attempt, but it was no use. "What is going on, Bailey? I cannot touch her!"
