It's 1948, Japan is still recovering from the Second World War and Atsushi is alone after the death of his aunt. The only thing he has is a piece of paper with his mother's handwriting signaling an address and a name: Dazai Osamu. Books, photos and tales bulid the story of the dormant cell of spies where Atsushi's parents operated along with Dazai and Chuuya, two soliders whose relationship stretches beyond time, countries and war itself.

A week before Dazai left Chuuya found out what he had been doing to Akutagawa and over heard a conversation he had with Mori. Heart broken and afraid he took both the Akutagawa siblings, took the bare minimum, and left the port mafia, running away to France. He wrote a long letter for his now ex fiance and left his ring. They were meant to get married in a month. Dazai was angry and heart broken. A week later Oda died. He left and joined the ADA. Now it's been 4 years. Atsushi just joined the ADA a month ago and no one knows about Dazai's past. But the past will show soon. Chuuya is coming with his family, the Akutagawa's now Nakahara's who he officially adopted, and his new fiance to visit Japan for a month. What will happen and what will be revealed. His colleagues are great collaborators, of course, and Kunikida is a very prepared partner, but Dazai misses something...something that he feels lost since too long and that he needs to find.
