When 17 year old Stacy is forced to spend her entire summer as counselors with her ex, Jesse Whilker, because of a little incident, she doesn't think anything could be worse, since she still had feelings for him. They had a clean break; they grew apart.
So when there is nothing about themselves that are in the way of a friendship, they quickly be-friend each other once more, but the relationship with each other doesn't start as friends, it seems it picked up where they left off. But in order to keep things from becoming weird between the two, she does things that un-intentionally make him feel the same.
Her challenge is to either keep her feeling secret, or make him feel the same way. Unless, he already does.
