A man who's always seen the world through an artistic lens, where boat railings are covered in vermilion paint under cotton candy clouds, would like nothing more than to get validation from the son who's always thought his father was crazy. What if he isn't crazy at all? What if faeries are real? What if pixies did steal his shoes? Sometimes fathers and sons have lenses that will never be focused the same.
Like most of my stories, this one has a surprise ending that makes people say, "Wait! What's next?! Give me more!" If you want more after you read it, you better tell me! :)

This is a short story I wrote for a series of shorts I am putting together for a community education course that I hope to teach one day (maybe in retirement to keep me from going stir-crazy, though that's still quite a ways a way). I've receive so much good feedback, that I have decided to turn this short into a novel. I wrote 60+ words for in November of 2019 for NaNoWriMo and am hoping to be done writing and editing it mid-2020 so I can query it to agents.

------------- "Why're you staring at me?" I ask teasingly. I hear him letting out a breath, of embarrassment or guilt I don't know. "I may have unintentionally hurt you, on several occasions. I may have done the wrong thing more than once. But despite all of that I still like you, hell if I know I might love you. I've never felt the way I feel about you for anyone else before. I can't stop thinking about you. Your laugh, your smile, your voice. How you manage to pull a joke at a time like this, to how peaceful, and beautiful you look when you're sleeping." I smile. It started out with just wanting to write a cute little series of one-shots, but this story has become the light of my life. What I thought would get maybe 200 reads max has blossomed into 20,000. It came to a trainwreck of a stop last summer, but due to begging from multiple fans, I've agreed to write a sequel. This is the future of Percabeth, inspired by the user PercyAnnabeth20Owl and the fanfiction entitled Percy and Annabeth-Their Future. ~ I was contacted by PercyAnnabeth20Owl and we are now doing a collab, so unfortunately the sequel's release date is going to be postponed. Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014)
This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.Complete

A young boy travels with his friends through a weird, mostly chill world to discover the truth about himself.
