A Gentle Echo

Aurora Raine Winters and her fellow half-breed friends have made lives for themselves after Monsters were freed from Mt. Ebott after making a deal with the lead researchers of Cassius' Institute for Gifted Souls. Some have jobs, others go to school, all live life the way they weren't able to before. Things are peaceful. But the peace is shattered when Frisk, the ambassador of Monsterkind, is shot during a conference.

The year is 20xx. Monsters have been freed from their underground home of Mt. Ebott and have lived along with humans for a little over two years now. There was some tension at first, but all in all, things have been harmonious between the two races.

Aurora Raine Winters lives in a college dorm-like living space with others who are just like her: born half human and half monster. They have lived together since before the freedom of Mosnsterkind in a facility called Cassius' Institue for Gifted Souls. Once Frisk freed the Monsters, Aurora managed to strike a deal with Cassius himself and other researchers for herself and her make-shift family to live normal lives outside of the facility. Since then, they have been free to do as they please within reason. However, their peace is shattered when Frisk is shot during a public political conference.

Cassius is determined to use the rag-tag family of halfbreeds as weapons against the monsters in the war, but Aurora has other plans for the people she has come to care for. The question is, will she succeed, and achieve a peaceful life for them all once more?
