Another prose from  Apex Haven, my werewolf series.

Couples Takehiko Kiyoro [TAH-KAY-HE-CO, KEY-YO-ROE]- birth surname Ya'khorta [YAH-CORE-TAH]- and Willow'shade are 1st-time parents of two pups. A brother-sister duo named Auyarro {AH-YAR-ROE} and Kagami [KAH-GAH-ME].  Willow'shade is recovering from the delivery in the post-labor wing of the Pediatric-Whelping Clinic in Alpha Cinnamon's Northwestern Deciduous forest territory.  When her husband arrives troubles shadows him.
Willow'shade knows the issue is about his displaced birthright as the Ya'khortan heir. Despite its controversial nature she supports him.
But how does an ambitious Beta Wolf-wielder[[ werewolf]] warrior learn to appreciate what he has? If the potential for more (power)  is present? Even gold hearts rot in dark places.
