Pokemon-Joe's Kanto Trek
My first fanfiction. Also my first Pokemon related story. And to get this out of the way, I do not own Pokemon. It belongs to their respective owners. This is just for entertainment from a huge Pokemon fan. This story features Joe, my author avatar and my Pokemon OC. He was made as a result of my strong love for Pokemon and how I have a wild imagination especially ones involving Pokemon adventures. Joe is basically playing the Ash role except he's portrayed as more smarter, competent and sensible as well as taking his Pokemon battling more seriously than Ash and not getting too worked up over getting ahead of others. He also has a penchant for Ghost types especially Gastly, Haunter and Gengar which makes him stand out from the rest. He also travels with Misty and later on her 3 sisters Daisy, Violet and Lily much to his chagrin mainly due to his (initial) disdain for girls. But keep in mind, he's 10 during the story as it's set in 2004 and he eventually warms up to girls by his Kalos trek (which I will write eventually.) Serena bit her lip, tears threatening to fall. "I'm sorry, Ash. But I need someone who's already strong... someone who can protect me, who can actually stand at the top. You're still just... dreaming." Her words echoed like poison in his ears. Ash turned away, his eyes burning, but no tears fell. Not yet. That night, as he left Lumiose City behind, his heart had hardened. For the first time in his life, Ash didn't just want to be the very best-he needed to be. Not for fun, not for adventure, not even for his friends. He wanted to prove Serena wrong. He wanted revenge. And so began his journey-not as the boy chasing dreams, but as the man who would crush them. Alola to a New Journey!
Basically, a typical betrayal story...without a betrayal, so to speak. Basically, Ash's pals think it is time to try something new. His Kalos league run got everyone so excited, only for Ash to lose. They started to wonder if a Master is the right way for him to go. Disappointed that his friends lost their faith, Ash sets of to Alola, hoping to clear his mind. When a brand new League is announced to be opened, Ash takes a chance on this opportunity to finally become a Champion, putting him one step closer to Master. This is going to be separate from canon, with some similarities. This is not going to have Ash catching a bunch of Legendarys, or using the whole ''Aura" thing, It's just good old Ash, on a good old adventure. I will include Meloetta, since it's my personal favorite Mythical Pokemon, and Ash will catch Poipole / Naganadel. I dont think I will include Melmetal in Ash's team, for a reason you'll see further in. But Meloetta wont be caught, it's kind of just along for the ride. :) Team Rocket, our loveable trio of dorks, is still a loveable trio of dorks, they just, aren't part of Rocket anymore. They are now members of Team Cook. Yep, they're cooks now. And maybe also a guest appearance from a fan favorite Ninja Amphibian? Anyways, this is my first story with a main ship, too: Aureliashipping.(Ash x Lillie) It wont be the main focus, but I will include a few moments to hopefully please the crowd. That's about it.
