Moments In Silence

When Tallis Montgomerey comes home after school on her 18th birthday, she wasn't too surprised to find her mother had packed up her things and disappeared. Now on her own and left to fend for herself, she has nowhere to stay and no one to turn to, except Mr. Jackson Hyde, her English teacher.

Having been accepted to Mithridates Academy on a full ride scholarship, she's the epitome of low-level trash within the social hierarchy of the school. Surrounded by spoiled trust fund heirs and heiresses, she sticks out like a sore thumb, leaving her friendless and disconnected. When compassionate Mr. Hyde notices her staying after school, he offers her his help, and his home.

Under the watchful eye of Dean Carmichael, they live, learn and grow together extending beyond their student and teacher relationship. But when a new counselor comes to the academy and becomes close to Mr. Hyde, their relationship becomes strained and confused.

Will their mutual affection pull them through the obstacles that stand in their way? And when her mother reappears, will he be there to help her? Or will she again, be left to fend for herself?
