For ten thousand years the world has been divided into four great nations Water, Earth, Fire and Air. During this time the era of the Avatar has ruled, the era of which a unique hero is born that can possess the power of all four elements in the order to bring balance to the world. It has been 16 years since the former Avatar has passed and the new Avatar is yet to be discovered. An organisation known as the "White Lotus" is in search of the unknown Avatar but they soon discover that their numbers are decreasing one by one. With all the chaos, the world seeks one question, who is the new Avatar?
The avatar finds himself surrounded by the greatest enemies of time. Raava cannot help him, but something else can, something imprisoned deeper, something darker within.

Mother Nature chooses the new generation of elements based on who they are inside from birth. She trains them to use their element in secret. If society knew the elements walked among them the results could be catastrophic. People can belief in someone bigger than themselves, but if they knew what really went on the balance would die. The elements are to tell no one of their powers. The four most often form two couples. Mainly fire with air, and earth with water. The balance naturally is two boys and two girls. This is the story of four talented people who changed the rules, and dealt with the biggest natural chaos of mankind, that mankind never knew.
