In The Eye of The Beholder

Naruto was rescued from close death at the hands of the close-minded villagers. Naruto was a troubled child. He was aggressive and commonly caused trouble and lashed out in anger. When he was seven the villagers staged an assassination. They grouped up on him and just before they ended him he was rescued by a fleeing shinobi who was running from a crime scene. Itachi Uchiha. Itachi saved him and took him out of the village. Itachi took him in for a year before getting an offer from a secretive group called the Akatsuki. He had to leave Naruto behind so he could join this group. He tried to leave the child in the care of his summons. The crows. The crows refused the boy as he was trouble. Itachi also decided it would be best if this child had no further contact with him so he offered Naruto to a rival of his own summons. The eagles. The eagles accepted the boy and raised him. They believed they could change his ways. They turned him from a chaotic and broken boy to a calm and together person. He was almost like their own kind. He was calm and collected while analytical and powerful. He was personally trained by the leader of the eagles. One day he underwent a ritual that has been lost for ages. It was to induct non-eagles into their ranks by having them drink the blood of the ancient eagle warriors. This would give the drinker the powers and abilities of the eagle kin. His eyes morphed into those of an eagle and his hearing became much more acute. He now had eagle vision and eagle hearing. His sense of smell and taste was mostly unchanged. One day it was time for him to leave the nest. He returned to the village a new man.

This is such a bizarre and stupid idea but I think its good. I don't really have a ship in mind but I was thinking of a straight ship for this and I guess Hinata is my best bet,
