heartbreak poem poetry sailor sisyphus sorrow

I've spent my old days making up pretty stories. I was a sailor navigating the oceans of sorrow of a heartbreak; stranger tales tells the reader about sorrows turned into poetry and how those experiences change my perspective of seeing love. In my conclusion love it's the most violent act I've seen in my short life;now I must live in sentimental years and sentimental years in order to survive and continue my travel. But we must understand that a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.

Chasing Tide (A Merman's Tale And The Human Who Desired Him) by AlphaKelly

One of the most painful things on earth is to lose a loved one. Whether in death or heartbreak. It's a pain different from all others. You feel every burn, every ache, your senses awaken, and greedily await a memory to sip in and then wreck your entire being. She took everything. His Light. His Heart. His Soul. It had no end. For years it went on like it would never end. But, it did. Just in passing, a normal day, a day like every other, but it was the day, his heart danced truly and his chest tighten as if a fierce wind had passed by, blending with his soul, leaving a suffocating feeling in his chest, a choking sensation in his throat, there was a pressure making it hard to breathe. ******* "My heart has heated for the human and my blood has flown for him. Every time I thought of him, my heart would ache. It would ache so much I couldn't breathe, the feeling of despair, yet sweetness... Even so, I still couldn't stop thinking about him." So...this is how it feels to love a person. "I belong to you, just as this merman belongs to the seas. Like a falling leaf belongs to its roots." A story similar to a classic fairy tale, but with a major twist ... What if the little mermaid were a deep sea merman instead? And what if the human he fell in love with went to live with him in the sea instead? Though born as a regular human on land, Henrietta always felt as if she were suffocating. She struggled to survive and belong among her kind. On a night when she sought to end her life at sea, she was rescued by Elsen, a merman who had once felt the same as her. Despite coming from different worlds, their shared experiences instantly built a bridge between them. When misfortune struck again, Henrietta lost her home and was driven to the edge once more. Seeing that she had nowhere else to go, Elsen brought her to his home in the deep sea. Although the ocean depths were tranquil and soothing, Henrietta's heart was still plagued with worries. And she soon discovered that Elsen also had yet to defeat his own demons. Will these two broken souls finally heal and come to love not only each other but themselves as well?

I was all alone till one day I met him. When everything was falling apart he was besides me. When I was at my lowest he was with me. Nobody ever cared for me as he did. Hurt and frightened and no where to turn except for my journal. Curse words being streamed at me and you would have thought I had a father for a sailor. ~E.M.C Many poems focusing on the subject of Mental Illness, that many suffer with and the subject just isn't brought up enough. Poems focusing on a day in the shoes of a person with a mental illness and how some even ordinary simple tasks may seem not so simple to them. COMPLETED I was caught in the net, with no hope of escape. As the net broke the surface, four men shouted in alarm. One called for someone to come up from below deck. He opened the door and studied me. I hissed at him as he approached the edge of the boat. "Let me go, human." He chuckled. "Not a chance, fish. You're my new science project." ~~~~~ Douglass finds himself in a risky situation when he's caught up in a net while swimming back to his cave. He tries to get lose, but only manages to get himself bound tighter in the ropes. Captured by human scientists, kept in a tank on land. Far from his home, scared and alone. Nathaniel works at the marine research center for his uncle. When he finds the siren in a tank far too small to contain a wild creature, he knows that the merman isn't happy there. He's trying to figure out a way to free him. Little does he know, he's not exactly human, and his uncle is hiding a big secret that might change his life. What happens when they realize that they're uncovering something much bigger? ~~~~~ Contains foul language, some disturbing scenes ( experiments on the siren, violent deaths), mild violence, and a brief implication of suicide in one chapter.
