Blood Queen.

The Curse of Venenum wasn't something everyone knew of. Only the Royal Family and a few assets to the King and Queen knew.

Long ago there was a kingdom. Magic flowed through the entire kingdom, everyone could cast spells if they learned to. People lived a peaceful life, it was a Utopia. At least that's what the people thought.

There was a lonely prince within the walls of the castle, Prince Venenum, he was born out of the wedlock of a King and a peasant. Even though he was the King in waiting, he was never happy. He needed something strong to soothe his emotions of injustice.

This desire led him to believe that if he created magic that could permanently suck out all other magic, he'd be the strongest being to exist.

Of course his plan succeeded but the Gods saw it and they were infuriated. His quest for power was short-lived and he died of contaminated magic running through his veins. The deprivation of magic was pronounced The Curse of Venenum, named after the prince's evil deed.

The Gods took pity on the Kingdom of Alezen and gave them a blessing, hope. It was said that only the Blood Queen could revive magic in the long gone Utopia.

The Kingdom waited centuries for the Blood Queen to come, but she never did. That is until the birth of a certain princess.
