In a continent plagued with inner conflict, unfortunate struggles, and an imbalance of power, Fódlan resides in a state of unsuspecting threat. However, these times also breed new changes and happenings that could help change the world for the better.

When mercenary twins, Byleth and Beleth, as well as their father, save three peculiar students one day from the terror of bandits, they are tasked with leading them as teachers in order to ensure a new hope for Fódlan. However, with more truths to be told, and many more secrets being found under burial, this adds to the seemingly peculiar roles of both of the twins. Under the Adrestian Empire's imperial princess, Edelgard, it is up to them both to ensure a safe future for Fódlan - whilst potentially destroying it in the process.
