Overture: A Prequel to "Haunted"

Long before Ingvar became bound to his ring, he was a not-so regular little kid living with his abusive alcoholic father. After suffering an accident involving the fire in the parlor, Ingvar runs away, only to be found and later adopted by a mysterious masked man named Erik.

After Erik's death, Ingvar moves to America, where he meets and becomes obsessed with a singer/self-taught pianist named Asheleign. The only problem is, Asheleign is already engaged. Can Ingvar form a relationship with someone after so many years of hiding in the shadows? Or will his dreams come crashing down around him?
