Amberle Foster had every intention of enjoying her senior year with her friends, the grand end to their youth. Following would be nothing but training to become a proper X-men. Which despite her lack of use for combat related scenarios, was all Amberle wanted. To fight and defend alongside her friends and boyfriend, Scott Summers.

But proving her worth is becoming more and more challenging. As Professor Xavier envisions Amberle as a professor for the academy, instead of an X-men.

Things quickly begin to spiral out of control as her friend, Jean Grey, absorbs an unknown cosmic force after a mission gone wrong. Her friend's already short temper starts to dissipate, causing tensions to rise further. And her friends abilities become infinite beyond what was thought possible.

The circumstance are not ideal, but an opportunity arises where Amberle may be able to prove her worth as an X-men. She takes the opportunity with both hands and dives in, despite possible consequences.
