A ship is bound eastward from the kingdom of Haleglar to chart the unexplored expanse of the eastern ocean, but unexpected circumstances leave many dead. The stranded survivors include the teenage princess, her uptight guard, several gruff sailors, and a pair of ship hands with more than a few secrets. This unlikely group will inadvertently continue their mission as they discover new land and new civilizations.
Calzon City is peaceful and prosperous, but a powerful neighbor to the east may bring that to a violent end, while the islands nearby harbor hidden dangers of their own. The group must learn to overcome their differences and adapt to these new surroundings, but even then it may not be enough to save them all.
