Violet Benton's cottage vacation takes a strange turn when she finds a young girl alone on her cottage porch. Her first instinct, naturally, is to help her find her way home, but when Violet learns snippets of the girls past, she realizes doing so is much easier said than done. While taking care of this mysterious child remains her number one priority, her desire to search for truth increases by the minute. Sometimes though, for one reason or another, the truth might be better off buried.

The Cycle

Everything in sixteen-year-old Laine Caverly's life isn't as dreadful as it seems. She's fatally ill, incredibly sociably awkward, and her parents question her status as a teenager. Still, she's normal. But once Laine's best friend is found dead in her driveway, she discovers nothing in her small Alaskan town is as innocuous as it seems. Children are going missing and they're reported as dead when the bodies can't be recovered. Just when things are starting to look normal again, Laine's dead best friend shows up on her doorstep, but she isn't herself. If Laine can discover what's happened to her friend, she may be able to put an end to the disappearances once and for all.
