Unfortunately, Quaid himself is going through a crisis, unable to discern what's real and what's a lie. Together, they not only have to solve the mystery of their missing memories but also avert the tyrannical regime of a Martian dictator.

The Doctor and his companion, Donna Noble, have arrived in Costa Rica during the mid-21st century. However, this isn't Costa Rica, and they aren't in the mid-21st century. They've actually arrived on Isla Nublar in the late 20th century...in the Infinite DC! Separated, they will have to rely on Neas, an old friend of the Doctor's who has also arrived on Isla Nublar in her still-new twelfth incarnation named "Cici". Along with her on this journey are Benson, Mordecai, and Rigby, who are only there by accidental means. Then there's the manner of dinosaurs who are appearing in John Hammond's new amusement park that are not biologically engineered by InGen. Can Cici and the Doctor solve all these concerns before an unnatural storm sweeps across the island?

Through an anomaly-infested time vortex, the Fourth Doctor, Leela, and K-9 arrive at the city of Detroit in a dystopian future. Little do they know that they have come to one of the worlds within the infinite dimensional corridor at the same time as Neas (in his tenth regeneration), his father Aznavorian the Tinkerer (in his "Rania" incarnation), and their human companion, Al-Lee Kirsch. Matters become more complicated with the emergence of Major Motoko Kusanagi, an old ally of Neas's from his days of fighting in the Cyber War. It turns out Neas's arrival in Old Detroit is not by chance. A "cyber-force" is growing under the noses of the Omni Consumer Products ("OCP") executives...one that comes from the very future that the Major had escaped. These events are the genesis of the worst war Neas had ever participated in, and he has the chance to prevent it from happening. But will fate allow him?

Even further in the timeline, Mireya (the Seventh Tinkerer) experiences a terrifying shift in reality that only going back in time can resolve. All these events ultimately bring the three Tinkerers together, as they uncover a mystery from their past that could be the answer to saving their future.
