Death's Happy Mistake

What happens when Death itself finds Love? What happens when the subject of Death's love is about to be called from one life to the next? What happens if, for the first time in Deaths existence, a life that the Fates determined had run its course, is not claimed but saved?

Well that Happy Mistake would be Alyssa Blazen, a girl who sees how much Time people have left in their lives and how they will die, not a very up-beat party trick but one that comes in handy in the morgue. Alyssa has only to look at a persons 'remains' before knowing how they died, when they died and in the case of a slew of murder cases who did it. But how can she explain how, what, where, when and who without revealing her parentage?
