When he woke up, it took him am a few seconds to register where he was. He groaned and sat up on his bed. When he noticed the bandages covering his abdomen, he froze. he looked up and noticed me, sitting in a chair across the room. He jumped up but immediately let out a cry of pain and collapsed. I rushed over to him, not knowing what to do. "Stay back!" he shouted,pulling a gun from under his pillow and pointing it at me. It was my turn to freeze.
