Katherine Redwell content with her current lifestyle...or so she thought. Life as a royal guard is as anyone would expect: simple, yet never boring. Especially now, the Prince has been of age for about a year and a half now. The kingdom of Astelia is eagerly awaiting the eldest Prince's engagement announcement. Katherine convinced herself she was indifferent, after all Prince Johnathan had been her close friend since a young age, so she should be excited for him. However, she's always had a bit of a crush on the heir. She wasn't exactly okay with having to witness him fall in love and marry someone else. In attempt to ignore the blossoming romance, Katherine threw herself into her work. Only, in her distraction, she missed the clear signals of the Prince's interest in her. Between the relentless Prince, betrayal, her duties to the throne, and more--one question remains: should she listen to her head or her heart?

The Guard is the first installment of the Raven Trilogy (name is still in the works as all of the books are not completed).
