Meet Emersyn Miller. A quiet, but sweet sixteen-year-old student at Tree Ridge High School. She has everything she could ever want: friends, including her best friend Shelton, and a loving father. But what happens when her life was never actually her life?

I was so excited to see my dad, I ran down the street. The sun had not risen yet, so I was carefully watching my steps. A car honking brought my attention to the street. Next thing I know, lights are the only thing I can see. I can't get out of the way.
The first thing I smell is sterilized metal. Followed by the sweet, comforting smell of vanilla. Then, I heard the beeping and whispering.
The very first thing I see is a table filled with books. I mean books and books and books. Everything ranging from Harry Potter to Tom Sawyer. Along with some balloons that read get well and bags labeled with brands I've only seen celebrities carry. Moving my eyes to the window, I see through the crack a very busy street. I think I remember a show calling them Taxies. I'm confused, but one thing is for sure- this is not Tree Ridge. Once my eyes wander a bit farther, I see them. The question is, who are they? A tall man, short woman, and tall boy all stand still staring right at me.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
