For the last four years. Nai'a Mahoe has been tormented by three bullies. Their latest attack landed the high school senior in the hospital with life threatening injuries. Thoughts of revenge swim in her mind, and she has the means to do so. But there is also the prospect of love with a person she might not have ever met if not for her injuries. It sort of runs in the family, in a way. Her grandpapi died of cancer 10 years ago and it was a hard time for her whole family, because he was such an free spirited man and was always smiling through it all. She wished that she was as strong as her grandpapi, with her being transferred from hospital to hospital, because her parents wanted to get her the best medical help possible. When she feared for the worst and all was lost, she met Rivera Douglas, which was her doctor at Newtons Hospital, where her parents decided that it should be her permanent one, seeing how they liked what they saw and everyone was just good there, and the atmosphere wasn't all that dull, it was always lively, despite it being a hospital at all. Rivera Douglas is a 30 years old women, who has been divorced for 3 years now. She wasn't in a rush to get into any kind of relationship and was basically in a relationship with her job, so to speak. She loves what she does and helps her patients take their mind off of the darker things, especially Ava. She would always make Ava feel some type of way without her knowing it and it always made Ava feel like she wasn't even sick at all, which is why Ava had a secret crush on her, hating the fact that it won't last that long... What do you think will happen in this complicated love story? Will it have a happy ending or not..? We just gotta wait and see.

Shit. That's how Derrick's life was going after the accident. Hazy memories and scars he didn't need were splintering what was left of what he did remember. Derrick's tattoo shop seemed to get along just fine without him, his magic abilities were short circuiting and for the first time in his life, he wasn't sure who he was anymore. Not to mention some guy named Mike insisted that they were best friends before he lost his memory. As if he'd be friends with someone who breathed positivity. The only thing Derrick wants to focus on right now is recovery and finding himself. But life, also known as Mike, keeps getting in the way. Completed January 13, 2019. Genre: MM soft magic romance with some angst and a hurt/comfort slant.
