Experimenting with human DNA. Worldwide, including the United Federation, people have agreed that it is unethical, and no scientist is allowed to tinker with it.
BioSCI, a corperation known for their shady dealings have done the unthinkable. Creating an illegal hybrid mixing human and animal DNA.
But what happens when the creature is more sentient than anyone had expected? Where lies the line between right and wrong?
(For the people who follow me for my kingdom stories, this is an original story loosely based on the movie 'Splice'. It does use the same characters but it has otherwise nothing to do with kingdom!)

It was just a normal day for Hazel Roberts and Leo Esteban. They thought they would go to school, take a huge history test that neither of them were prepared for, then go home and text each other for the rest of the afternoon. Typical teenager's day, right? After MePhone4 mysteriously dissapeared, the remaining contestants were sent back to Hotel OJ. People picked up new interests, Fan became a famous internet blogger, Suitcase and Balloon became detectives, Test Tube continued her science experiments, ect ect... But what about Paintbrush? That *is* who this story is about, is it not? Yes yes, of course. How would we forget our beloved Paintbrush, famous across all of the seasons of II. What happened to them? Well, they started an art class, every wednesday they would help their students get better at painting. But soon enough, they found a new interest. Finger Painting. They loved how much control they had, they loved how easy it was to glide their finger against the canvas. One day, they accidentally spilt some blood onto their canvas. They tried to rub it away, but.. It felt good. Even better than paint. They loved the feeling of the blood against the canvas, rubbing into it and creating an amazing picture. How could they not like it? But they couldn't use it again, they could use a substitute.
