She can't afford the rent so she is trying to find a roommate. Then comes the guy who needs a room but just like her can't afford the money either, making him the perfect candidate.
Finding out that she doesn't want to share a room with a boy he accidentally lies to her. He is now left with no choice than to live up to that lie.
