She snuck into Mordor to find them but in a twisted turn of events, she ends up befriending an Uruk-hai captain with an identity crisis. In return for her help, the Orc promises to spare the girl's life. Soon they meet an old war veteran who can help them get to their destination. Everything seems to be going wrong, betrayal, sickness, injuries... Will these three friends be able to push through the punches life in Middle Earth throws at them? Or will they end up falling apart? And what happens when the Orc, Bogwater, finds himself falling for Rain? *Title has been updated to be more self-explanatory. However, nothing in the story has changed. -DISCLAIMERS: NEW READERS READ BEFORE CONTINUING- •Scenes of Violence, Action, and some Language. • I do not own Middle Earth or the characters specifically created by Tolkien, all I own is Rain, Bogwater, Havish, and the plot to this story. •This story has many twists and turns, please don't freak out on me if something you don't particularly like happens. •This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit plot. This is an all original plot using my own characters that just happen to run into Gollum, Gandalf, and some others, including Elrond. A collection of one-shots I am writing for sdavid09's Daily Writing Challenge for the month of February 2018. In total there will 29 fics (hopefully) by the end of this month. Twenty-nine due to a bonus prompt for FYI. The stories range from heavy angst and unrequited love to straight out raunchy sex to comedy to random arguments. All are very short and I hope you will enjoy reading them. (Some of these stories may contain lesbian themes.) Please let me know what you think and/or vote for your favorite ones.

The Beginning- Breath Of War by Hurt_My_Toe

THE BEGINNING is a mixture of science fiction, fantasy, mystery and survival. Set in the future, Talmen a man of unknown origin wanders through a ravaged world in search of his younger brother, lost in circumstances he cannot remember. Faced with brutality, death and pain from both humans and creatures on a daily basis, he changes. Cora a ranger trained in both stealth and marksmanship heads out with her new squadron to eliminate a threat to her home. Losing friends and battle-brothers along the way. She often questions her own motives for fighting, when so much has been lost. Togran Ka an Orc Warlord finds himself embroiled in Ancient rivalries and blood feuds. His attempts to reunify the Orc clans and adapt to the humans use of weaponry causes division and hate amongst the Orc clans. Togran Ka fears the humans having had time to recover from the war, will return with a vengeance. Lucy and Rollo siblings abandoned by their parents, make their living selling items they have scavenged and repaired to any surviving settlements. Rollo and Lucy opposite sides of the same coin, Rollo a cheerful boy with the glow of innocence still around him and Lucy an overprotective cynical woman, who fears the moment her brother will lose his kind heart to the demands of the world. The Mother a creature bound within the center of the earth, feels the chains gripping her beneath the earth's crust weakening. Eager to cleanse the world of all its creatures, she sends forth her imps to clear the path for her return.
