Ariel, Ari for short, is a 24 year old woman who never expected much to happen in her life. She dreamed of bigger things for herself other than the dark basement she's lived in for as long as she can remember. Anything would be better than her life of solitude, abuse, and slave-like living situation. The people she calls mother and father certainly don't fit the ideal image of what she should call parents. Her younger sister is a constant source of her pain. In a twist of fate, she is spun from her dark life into a world she has only been able to read about in ratty old musty books. The world as she knew becomes only a scarred memory in of the past. She soon discovers what it feels like to be free to choose, to love, and to live by her own means to exist. This is a tale of an abused child who was kidnapped at a very young age. She is raised to believe she is the eldest child of her captors until she turns 24 years old. When she discovers the truth, she is overwhelmed with fear and wonder. She knows nothing about the world beyond her damp, moldy walled cage of a bedroom. Her naivety could be her downfall. Can she remain strong throughout her fight for her own freedom?
