While struggling to survive, Ryder James and a rag tag team of military members explore an abandoned island that holds many secrets, including about the enemy the entire world is currently at war with. Of course it does, after all, the highest concentration of Qi is found in forests where ancient redwoods grow. You might be wondering, what is Qi? In Japan it is called "ki," and in India, "prana"." The ancient Egyptians referred to it as "ka," and the ancient Greeks as "pneuma." In Africa, it's known as "ashe" and in Hawaii as "mana." Qi, Prana, Ki, call it what you will, this energy is the life force itself.

He handles the technology and security for the club. He is also tall, dark, smart, and devilish sexy. The type of man Ryder wants and maybe needs. Without any leads or evidence of the militia group ever being there or not. He is ordered to find evidence against the Sons of Silence to force the MC to cooperate. After meeting and starting to fall for Tech, he just can't seem to make he follow that order. Is he going to betray Tech?
