Growing up, i thought that love was the greatest thing ever. I always admired the princesses in the story books my mom would read to me. They found their one and true love. Their knight in shining armour. I had always thought that one day, i would find my kinght in shining armour and we would live happily ever after. But what i found was anything but that. Screw you, mom for letting me believe in those stupid stories.

An Unforeseen Love
When all she knows is abuse, abandonment, heartache, pain, and fear can anyone make her feel safe again? What happens when her Knight in shinning armor is just a nerd who loves video games and wants to nothing more than to make her every wish, hope, and dream come true? Will she give him a chance? Or will she think that she needs to protect herself and never let another man hurt her ever again. Throughout the book I will be telling the story of events that happened from each characters point of view to hopefully give you some more insight on what each character is going through. The main part of this book is based off of my current relationship. Some of the events are made up and not fully true. When I was a little girl, I believed in fairy tales. I believed in princes and princesses and knights in shining armor. I believed in forever and happily ever afters. I was ten when reality hit me. My mom brought the evil home with her and there was no escaping it. That's when I learned that fairy tales were just that: fairy tales. The bad stuff is real, though. The difference is that I now know that the monsters and evil villains don't always wear capes and ugly scars. No: most of the time, they appear normal. I'm drowning in reality, in my life, and I've given up hope that a knight in shining armor will rescue me. But maybe... maybe I don't need a Prince Charming after all. You think being a girl is easy. Well, I'm going to tell you: it isn't easy. Hell, it's so hard to be a girl. Especially when you live in the time period of King and Queens, with the knights in shining armor. Every guy I come across thinks I need to be swooned, flirted with, and swept off my feet. All of the knights that I was with broke my heart, so I don't trust anyone. Not wanting to break my shield around my heart again. I don't need a knight, but right now I think I could consider needing one. I have run away from home, angry at my parents want me to marry. I decided to grab a basket from the kitchen and running out of the castle, my home. I used to think love was all about finding someone to make you feel whole. But as the days passed, watching him laugh with his friends, I started to realize something. I was waiting for someone else to validate me, to give me the affection I craved. But the truth hit me hard-I needed to start with myself. I stopped measuring my worth by his attention, or anyone else's. I stopped seeking approval in the way I looked, the things I said, or the way I walked into a room. Slowly, I learned that the most important love was the one I could give myself. I didn't need his smile or his words to feel seen. It wasn't easy, but I started finding peace in my own reflection. I became more comfortable with who I was-flaws, mistakes, and all. I realized that I didn't need anyone to complete me. I was whole, just as I was. That why I wrote a story about my personal experience with love .
