You and your brother, James Buchanan Barnes, (Bucky for short) were both in the US Army. Bucky was a soldier and you were a nurse. One of the best nurses, in fact, you had worked with many different cases such as torn limbs, disease, bullet wounds, and many others. Before you met Steve, Bucky talked about him 24/7 and talked about how you two would be great friends. Finally, you had the chance to meet him at the World's Exposition of Tomorrow, but you have to go as his date, which you didn't really mind, although it would probably be awkward. But little did you know, Steve actually had a crush on you, even without having met you. When you finally meet Steve, he tells you about his dream to join the Army, and you were determined to help him get there.

~Disclaimer~
I DO NOT own any of the Marvel characters, and some scenes in the book will be based on various marvel movies.
Also, as I create it, I will probably still be tweaking some of the chapters that I have already published because I realize I put something stupid in there, or I found a way to make it better.

Elizabeth Maeve Barnes is the younger sister of James Buchanan Barnes, better known as Bucky to his 17-year-old sister and best friend, Steve Rogers. For her, she has aspired to be a soldier like the two young men but being a girl in the 1940s who was only seen fit to live at home and make a man happy, her dream seemed ludicrous.
But, that changed after her long-time crush became Captain America and her brother died. She was recruited to stop Hitler with Steve before he disappeared into the ice. She didn't know what to do after until Peggy Carter told her she could take a replica super-soldier serum but with the price of being preserved in ice overtime and only allowed out to complete missions for S.H.E.I.L.D. Or so, that's what she thought. Fast forward to 66 years later and she is let out for the thirteenth time to ease the found alive Steve. Their old feelings for each other begin to rekindle as they face the many enemies of the world with The Avengers and discover something they thought they lost a long time ago.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own the MCU characters, only Elizabeth Maeve Barnes.
