Mature
Keith steeled himself against the mast, the waves tossing his crew around like rag dolls. The thunder crashed overhead and Keith once again tasted the salt as another wave hit. There was a scream and all he could see was Pidge's hand as she clung onto a broken railing, the wood creaking and cracking from the strain and damage. He let go of the mast and ran to her, but a wave hit the ship and tossed him in her direction. He held out his feet and the railing caught him, but the wood would give out any second. He grabbed her hand and tossed her back on deck just to have the railing break underneath his feet and send him plummeting into the churning black ocean. The cold stung at his skin and he struggled against the water, opening his eyes against his best efforts. Blue eyes stared back at him.

His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
