Bernadette Ocampo feels nothing but loss upon the collapse of her life. Her family, her first relationship, and her reputation are in complete shambles after the events of her freshman year. A last minute move to the muggy fishing town of Norma Bay was supposed to do the theater kid some good, everyone said. But, her heart lies with memories of the hustle and bustle of Boston.

That is, until she finds The Guild at Norma Bay, a not-so-top secret theater troupe. When Bernadette receives an invite to the troupe seemingly out of nowhere, she is brought into the underground world of banned plays, karaoke battles, fake blood pacts, and drama of the off-stage kind.

How bad could it be to enlist your female best friend into helping you lie to your Christian family about your new relationship with your male best friend and about your newfound sexuality? Not that bad, right? Right??? --------- Nova Queen and Arizona "Ari" Matthews weren't always close in high school, but after an intense and serious conversation in the library one day, the two become the best of friends until they go their separate ways their freshman year of college. Now in their mid 20s and freshly out of grad school, they are reunited in the park of their hometown where Ari asks a huge favor of Nova that she later wishes she had refused. But in the end, will she really wish she had refused? *FA spans a timeline from 2010-2020 to help the reader see how the relationships were built between characters in a partial series of flashbacks. It also helps the reader to really see into the minds of Arizona and Nova as they age, and the effect different life events have on them. It's a bit of a slower build and the plot is mostly seen a little later in the book, but I promise it's worth it. 🙂 *I do not own any of the rights to the music nor the pictures. *Rated M for language, sexual content, destructive behaviors, suicide, and dialogue that may be triggering for some readers. *These characters may do or say things that you don't agree or may get upset with, please remember YOU ARE NOT THESE PEOPLE, and their lives are a work of fiction and my imagination.
