The world was toxic and overrun with monsters. Even with their elemental abilities, humans could only survive in monarch ruled city-states, domed by energy shields that protect them from the virulent gases and dangerous beasts. But ununited in their survivability, people found ways to wage wars against each other.

***
The City of Bremen had lost the war. Severely low on manpower and fearing of an invasion of their city, they make entry to their Academies free - allowing even the poor to be trained in their elemental abilities. An opportunity Given Rowdy had been waiting his whole life for.

***
The Serpent Wall was high and long, spanning from one end of the world to the other. It protected them from the dangers of the southern forest, along with their energy shields, and thus very few were allowed to go past it. As the daughter of the emperor, Raylin Morgaine thought she had retained the privilege to do so. But it became apparent that she needed to prove her strength first, something that, fortunately, she found was becoming increasingly easy as she grew up.

When my parents kicked the bucket, I thought that was the universe's way of saying "screw you" to me. But little did I know, life had an even bigger "screw you" in store. Then one sunny summer day out of nowhere, the Infected appeared. And man, were they ugly. Feral, bloodthirsty, savage beasts that looked like they'd been hit with the ugly stick- no scratch that- the ugly tree one too many times. But fear not, for Phoenix Corp arrived on the scene, wielding their science skills like superheroes. They cooked up a cure that saved the day, rescued us from the Infected menace. Or so we thought.... Suddenly, everything I knew was turned on its head when Phoenix agents showed up at my door at midnight and demanded access. I never thought I'd find myself allied with the Infected, the very creatures I saw as my mortal enemy. It's like friends became foes and foes became friends, and I'm left questioning everything I ever believed. But hey, at least I've got a front-row seat to the apocalypse. It's a wild ride, and I'm strapped in for the long haul. Who knows what craziness is yet to come? Oh, did I mention the infected had mouthwatering abs? Oh boy... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Copyright law ... All rights reserved to CherryKel only. After the Earth's magnetic field collapsed, the planet was bombarded with unfiltered solar radiation. The skies burned. Cities turned to dust. Survivors now live in massive airborne citadels, floating high above the toxic surface in a fragile balance of climate, class, and control. Each citizen's survival depends on a Glass Heart - a biomechanical implant powered by solar energy, calibrated to their social rank. The elite bask in artificial sunlight and live for centuries. The lower castes, confined to the shadowed underlayers, burn out fast - their hearts dimming with every passing year. Aella, born in the shadow-tier, works as a solar mechanic, servicing the light panels that keep the city afloat. One wrong move, and she risks exposure to raw light - a death sentence. She lives quietly, surviving by routine... until one night, she's ordered to repair a core in the upper citadel. There, she meets Cassian, a solar prince with a perfect Glass Heart - blindingly bright, surgically beautiful, and destined to rule the sky. Their connection is immediate. Impossible. Reckless. Every moment Aella spends near him overcharges her failing heart, threatening to burn her alive. Every second Cassian defies his caste by being with her dims his - an irreversible sign of corruption. But as their stolen encounters grow deeper, they uncover a secret buried in the light system: the citadel is failing. The elite's immortality depends on draining the hearts of the poor. Every bright Glass Heart comes at the cost of hundreds of dimmed ones. Including Aella's. They can run - and die faster. Or they can ignite a revolution powered by love, truth, and the one thing the elite can't manufacture: sacrifice. Because love isn't forbidden. It's just fatal.

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

*COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. Now it was his turn to be there's.

Y/n dreams of Levi's death, unsure what to make of the strange emotions that play with her as if she were a puppet. "Tainted by the worlds filthy fingers, humanity has lost all hope for a future without a blood stained Earth. To fall captive to love is to wither away with the already-shriveled bodies stacked into a mountain of distant memories. Love is disdainful, yet beautiful." As you and Humanities Strongest grow closer, will you also grow closer to a world without him? || COMPLETED IN 2022 || Note: I try to write new Levi wattpads at least once a year, trying to make the writing a bit less hard to sit through. I would really like to write Levi true to his character, rather than a stone-cold cringe factory. If you found anything to be cringy with this wattpad, I would LOVE constructive criticism. That way, in the future, I can make the stories better. Thank you!
