"Of course I don't. I'm just stating the obvious." He stood up from the stool and flicked his eyes over his shoulder, to look at Ciara. "I could, a) Break through the window," He pointed behind him, towards the massive window behind the bar. "b) I could run away," He paused again for a moment, weighing up the options. "Or finally, c) I could help the pretty girl in the story get away from the thug."
Brendan scoffed mockingly once again. "And which option would you choose, ballet boy?"
"Well," he turned his head to wink at Ciara. "Who can't resist saving a damsel in distress?"

It just so happens that his first assignment is Ciara Hunter, a beautiful girl Kyran could not dare to assassinate. What happens when a reaper finds they cannot summon the ability to kill?

Hearing his halfhearted laugh sent a striking pain through your chest. You swallow hard to keep a sob from escaping your throat as you realise this might be the last time you ever hear it. Tears roll down your cheeks, blurring your vision as you lock eyes with the freckled man you've been dreaming about for the past months. The familiar warmth tingles on your skin as he gently cups your face, his thumb carefully wiping away the tears on your cheek. I killed my friends and it's my fault. But feels unexpectedly euphoric... Kyra is the Devils daughter but she doesn't know it. All of the guilt has somehow oozed out of me. I remember that I feel good only after the person has died so she must be dead. There is silence for about 10 seconds then everyone starts screaming and runs to the other side of the room to me. I don't know why but this is kinda fun. I slowly walk towards them, smirking, as the guy who bullied me for me whole life is shaking and grabbing onto his best friends shoulders. I'm not going to hurt them but it is fun torturing them. He has made my life miserable for 11 years so I'm not going to leave without out evening out the mental and physical indents he has had on my life. While watching the movie and reading the books, a YouTube video discussing how plot twists and different character arcs could have improved the movie sparked some scenes and debates among us in the book club. So my friend and I decided to rewrite the movie with some better plot twists. This was thought of in a car after escaping an awkward dinner. Fair warning, we lost some brain cells along the way and jumped off the diving board and lost the plot. This book is an adventure that made me cry and throw my phone. Enjoy.
